Avoid the "in Turn" Button in Online Poker
The “In Turn” button is a button available in online pokern games that allows you to set your course of action before your turn arrives. At any point in the game you can set the “In Turn” button to automatically do what you want, for example raise, bet, or call. While this seems like a great idea at first, there are a few serious drawbacks to using the “In Turn” button.
First of all, the “In Turn” button causes actions to be completed very quickly. If you have programmed the “In Turn” button to call, for example, your command will be shown almost instantaneously to when your turn arrives. Because the button causes action to happen faster than you could have done yourself, the other poker players at the table will all know that you are using the “In Turn” button. They will try to use this information against you.
Another serious flaw of the “In Turn” button is the fact you need to make a decision about the game before it is actually your turn. While you may think that you know the course of action you would like to follow, there is always a chance that something unexpected will happen. Imagine if you had set the “In Turn” button to fold, only to have all the other poker players fold before your turn. If you had not set the button, you would have won the game. This is the kind of information that you are missing if you decide to consistently use the “In Turn” button instead of playing as the game progresses.
