Norway Travel
Travel in Norway is quite nice. This country is very advanced in moving people around where they need to go. You can fly within the country for about as much as you can drive anywhere. There are trains and busses that go between the cities as well. Within the cities there are trollies, busses, and of course taxies. If you need to get across one of the many fjords, there are ferries for both cars as well as just people carriers. Most of the larger cities are easily walkable within the city, though some have bike rentals available as well.
In Norway, air travel is the best way to get back and forth from large city to city. Flights leave throughout the day and are relatively easy to get on at the last minute. The cost of airline tickets can be about as much as the cost of driving one’s own car. This is due to the cost of fuel being so high in Norway. There are high taxes put on fuel so that people will choose to use mass transit, which is better on the environment.
The busses are very clean and comfortable to travel in. When you take a city bus the receipt you are given has a time stamp on it telling you it is good for another bus or trolly in the city, until it’s time expires. Also, if you travel from one city to another on a ferry, you can sometimes use the receipt for a bus ride as well. If a bus is more than 30 minutes late to one of the stops, you can hail a cab and explain that the bus is late and the bus company will pick up the cab fare.
