Managed hosting services provider NaviSite recently announced that it has landed a partnership with WorkPlace Systems for its software as a service workforce management hosting concerns. The first installation for the service is at a major retail chain in North America that manages 4,000 stores and was deployed within 90 days.
WorkPlace Systems opted for the managed IT hosting services offered by NaviSite in order to provide its large enterprise customers with secure, reliable and scalable solutions. NaviSite’s track record and expertise in SaaS implementations has allowed WorkPlace Systems to quickly address client concerns. The IT provider will deliver secure SAS 70 Type II compliant hosting, managing and monitoring environments for SaaS-based applications.
WorkPlace’s Online Workforce Management solutions come with a number of features including autoscheduling, forecasting, schedule management, and time & attendance. The said features will allow retailers to create optimized schedules and track their employees’ actual attendance relative to the planned timetables.
The SaaS solution works to reduce the total cost of owning workforce management tools while at the same time enjoying the benefits of lowered labor costs and enhanced reliability.
When asked to comment about the partnership, Barney Quinn, CEO of WorkPlace Systems said that his team is happy to have NaviSite on board because of the company’s proven experience as well as its customer base in the Retail industry. He adds that WorkPlace Systems was impressed at the company’s global reach.
