Ken Mehlman’s Profile

Ken Mehlman was elected as the 62nd chairman of the Republican National Committee after the success of former President Bush’s re-election campaign in 2004. Three years before that, he was chosen by former President Bush as his deputy assistant as well as the director of political affairs in the White House. In this position, Mehlman took care of the President’s entire political agenda with the help of the state parties, members of the Congress, community groups, and federal agencies.

Ken Mehlman’s career began when he led the victory of former President Bush presidential election in the year 2000. As the national field director during the said campaign, he managed all the campaign operations while working closely with the RNC and state parties. Mehlman’s contribution to politics has made him well-known to Democrats and Republicans alike.
